National Art All Stars
, in partnership with the Worcester Art Museum, will follow a model similar to the annual Massachusetts Art All-State:

two high school juniors will be chosen from each state, along with one art educator, and one Museum Educator to attend the program.

Students and teachers will come from all over the country to Massachusetts to participate in a full 4-5 day national program, with opportunities to visit the area's reknown museums and historic sites.  National Art All Stars offers students a 'mountain-top' experince where the emphasis is on encouragment and continuing on in art beyond high school.

National Art All Stars offers similar goals for the participating art educators from each state: encouragement, collaboration, understanding of the Museum as a resource in teaching, artmaking, and professional development.  One art teacher from each state will be specifically rewarded with a professional development opportunity at the Worcester Art Museum that will include participation in the National Program, visits to world-famous art museums, time to make art, and the ability to take lessons-learned back to their home state.

Mission:

    • Boost student self image through recognition and encouragement.
    • Bring together students, art educators, museum educators and professional artists from diverse disciplines to work in a studio setting.
    • Allow students to work in collaboration with these artists and their peers from other schools in the country.
    • Introduce students and art educators to the Museum as a resource for the practicing artist.
    • Provide a forum for parental inquiry and discussion regarding their children's future in art.
    • Increase communication among secondary art teachers by providing opportunities for them to collaborate with museum educators and professional artists
    • Provide an opportunity to explore contemporary art practices, and themes and create curriculum to bring back to every state
    • Provide resources and a framework for creating state or regional programs across the country
    • Create a unique professional development program for art educators and museum educators based in contemporary art practices, museum resources, and collaboration
